Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is the advanced care pediatric hospital for New York's Hudson Valley region and Fairfield County, Connecticut. A “Village” vocabulary was developed as the origin point from which all design would develop for the addition to the Westchester Medical Center. By utilizing familiar village themes, a welcoming setting was created.

The graphic elements mixed with the architectural components visually revealed the theme of “Village” including Arts, Sports, History, Nature, Transportation and Hamlets through functional and visual interpretation. These guide the user through build and natural space while visually enhancing it.
