Our team has been working on iconic projects since our days at NBBJ. This project included a redesign of the historic OHIO gate and pedestrian plaza at the 11th Avenue entry. A cultural icon, originally erected as a temporary structure in 1966 to serve as an entrance to the state fairgrounds. The frame building technique demonstrates a ghost image of what existed before. Juxtaposed to the letters is a streamlined, highly polished, arch curving above to welcome visitors. A defined pedestrian plaza, greenery and ornamental fencing further accentuate the landmark.
