A prominent community feature in downtown Zanesville, Ohio
The Dutro Ford Lincoln Nissan Dealership was a great opportunity to combine our commercial and public spaces expertise. The dealership was located in downtown Zanesville on the prominent location of the 6th St. bridge near the Muskingum River. The site was also near the Canal and subsequently had over ten feet of grade change across it. Taking advantage of the grade change, terraced car display areas were designed in the upper dealership area, while the public fountain plaza was located in the lower area adjacent to the street intersection.
A sizable custom-designed fountain was located in the public area and offers common space for seating and enjoying the fountain. The water feature was designed with an led lighting package and offers holiday lighting display opportunities, as well as a prominent community feature in the downtown area. Brick and concrete accents were used heavily on the hardscape design to delineate spacial use, minimize maintenance, and maximize visibility for the dealership.
